Hello! I’m Roselle.

If I were stuck on a deserted island, I’d be happiest with a few books…for a while. Then, I’d get to staging a play with all my newfound friends, the flora and fauna. I’d obviously have the leading role in the nightly show. My days would be filled with concocting new recipes for dinner, and crafting new parts for my best friend, a jaunty stick named Ernie, to play!

That’s me in a (coconut) shell: a joyful introvert who also loves being on stage, and a leader who believes in catalyzing those around me to excellence.

I believe that sharing stories creates a more resilient and inclusive world.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

About Me

An award winning professional, a lifelong learner, a prolific public speaker, a mentor and leader, an engaged community member. A values-led, purpose driven human, my education, career, service, and extracurricular work has been guided by curiosity, a fierce commitment to putting people first, and a enduring desire to making a positive impact on the world around me.

My career in the dynamic fields of inclusion (D&I), sustainability (ESG), and engagement with Indigenous communities is augmented with practice in leadership development, education, and systems thinking.

My professional pursuits are committed to amplifying voices often relegated to the margins of systems, and I have been fortunate to bring this high-impact change-making work to bear within the corporate, social service, consulting, and post-secondary sectors .

In 2022, I was honoured to be named one of Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40 for my 15+ years of work making equitable, systemic change.

I value creating meaningful impact through my work. By employing an integrated approach to creating equity both at the systemic and individual levels, I have successfully impacted macro and micro experiences in the areas of systemic inclusion, expansive leadership, and building good relations.

“Roselle has an innate ability to connect with an audience in a way that is unlike anything I have ever seen. Her storytelling and valuable, actionable insights that are immediately applicable in everyday life, leave a lasting impact on all attendees.”

— April Hicke, Co-Founder & Chief Growth Officer, Toast

“Burnout is the result of setting yourself on fire to keep everyone else warm.”

‘Inclusion Starts With I’ Keynote Address, 2022 WNorth Summit

A prolific public speaker, and media-trained, I am often asked to speak on topics of leadership, creating spaces of inclusion, burnout and mental health, and including ourselves in the conversation. A fulsome listing of my public speaking can be found on my LinkedIn site.

“From the very first sentence, you get engrossed into this book. Roselle takes us on a journey familiar to every human on the planet - a journey to belonging. As she bravely traces vivid stories from her past, I felt my own story reflected. I cried and laughed with her, and most of all, I felt inspired by her courage to turn pain into purpose.”

— Gayathri S., Amazon Review

“Story is the great unifier of our humanity. In order for us to make change outwards, systemically, we have to be willing to go inwards. The more that we sit with one another's stories, the more we are compelled to change the systems that impact us in meaningful ways.”

On Uncorked: The Podcast, Steph Corker asked, “What did it mean for you to put your story out in the world?”

In 2023, I published my first book, a memoir, entitled ‘The Ordinary Turned Precious’. It is a story about the universal quest for belonging, and the power of human resilience in finding meaning, and has since gone on to become a #1 bestseller on Amazon! In 2024, I had the great joy of narrating the audiobook for Audible!
